I can't say enough about our experience at Todos Santos and our stay at Marita's Casitas. Aldo and Bequia have an amazing setup and treat visitors to a truely relaxing Baja vacation. Todos Santos is an amazingly hip community and their local knowledge of all the hot spots as well as private secluded beaches made our 10 day stay the trip of a lifetime and longing to go back. The two of us stayed in the upper apartment and were pleasantly surprised by the open air surroundings and coziness of it, to the point that we instantly knew we were going to love every minute there. The sound of the surf crashing through the night is the perfect remedy to a long day of sun and fun at Cerritos or Las Palmas. Be sure to ask about the traveling masseuse service....getting a massage on the sun deck was one of many highlights offered at Marita's Casitas. If you are looking for the perfect Baja experience, but just far enough away from the chaos of Cabo, I would highly recommending a lengthy stay at Marita's Casitas in Todos Santos. Enjoy!

  Comments : This house is the best!!  It is absolutely beautiful in its simplcity and natural style. I had a blissful and inspiring 4 weeks in May 2011 on the 2nd floor (Palm View) unit and am so grateful!   The beach is so close and is great for playing frisbee or just hanging out (you'll likely have the whole beach to yourself!).  I also enjoyed yoga on the 3rd floor deck in the morning sun as well as under the amazing night stars.  Running along the paths near the beach at sunset, listening to music on the rooftop, preparing fresh food in the well-equipped kitchen.. I miss it a lot!   I was definitely never too hot, in fact, sometime it was quite cool with the marine layer and breezes. But it just took a few minutes up on the sunny 3rd floor deck to feel warm and content again.  Aldo's place provides everything you need and then some.  The bed is incredibly comfortable and falling asleep to the sounds of the surf is unparalleled. And the chairs upstairs on the deck may be among the world's most comfortable. 
In short, you will have a great time.  Todos Santos is also a cool little community, and I enjoyed yoga classes, tennis, farmer's market, tacos stands, massage, etc.    It was also nice that Cabo and La Paz are each just an easy hour drive - so you can get your taste of nightlife and partying and then get right back to peace and tranquility.

I have to say, I'm real sad to be sitting at my computer but the memories are very clear at the moment so I guess it's a good time to write you.  We had such a wonderful time- the house is perfect, I loved being able to hear the ocean while laying in bed, plus you could see all the stars every night.  We saw whales every day, we ate tacos (too many) and oranges and avocados every day, we talked to Barbara every day (how great is she?).  Todos Santos is a great little town, everyone super friendly, we loved los cerritos beach and las palmas, swam every day- perfect weather!  Went to peace and loaf for a yummy treat, I took a yoga class that was amazing.  We bought fresh fish and organic greens and made yummy salads a couple of nights.  Watched the sunset every night from either the beach or the roof.  Went to the point and watched the surfers.  Read a book.  It was dreamy."

Great casita at a good price. We stayed there a month in Dec/Jan '09. All the basics you need for a beach-oriented vacation - and friendly owners are a real plus. Close access for leisurely strolls on the beach to watch the whales in season - or from the balconey! Also opportunities to help release baby sea turtles. Or buy fresh fish directly from the fisherman and cook it up with fresh lime. We had a great time - I'm still dreaming about our trip!

Marita's Casita is a wonderful home. The owners are very helpful and the downstairs neighbor is very friendly. Todos Santos is an amazing community of friendly people who want to help out and make sure you experience real Mexico. The beach by the house is beautiful and the rooftop deck has great views for sunrise, sunset or anytime. I would recommend this home for anyone wanting to go to Todos Santos and I hope to go back sometime soon!

Awesome Experience

My girlfriend and I stayed at Marita's Casitas (upstairs) during the first week in November 2010. We had an excellent experience. The Casitas is 1 minute walk from the beach, were you can sit on the dunes and watch jaw dropping sunsets every night. The beach is pretty much empty and you can walk for miles north or south. Note: You can't really get in the ocean at the beach, as the surf is very rough, but Aldo will tell you this in your initial e-mail and gives great directions to get to Cerritos beach, where the swimming and surfing are excellent. The area itself is not overdeveloped and several stores are only a few minutes drive away with all the essentials you could need and Todos Santos itself is about a 10 minute drive. The Casitas itself is simple, cozy, and well appointed. It was clean and well maintained. The wireless internet works and is pretty quick. The upstairs deck has stunning views of both the ocean and the mountains, and you will hear the surf as you drift off to sleep. My GF and I cooked almost every night at the Casitas and never found ourselves wanting for tools or equipment. You could also easily eat in Todos or Pescadero and make the drive back. The bed is very comfortable. The location is excellent, only 15 minutes from the main highway to La Paz or Cabo, so it makes a perfect base of operations for exploring the Sur. It's great for a couple or someone seeking a solo respite and wants to get outside the "bubble" of Cabo resorts. Aldo can recommend a surf instructor and give directions to all the prominent breaks, as well as recommendations based on the weather for where the surf may be up and the skill levels of each break. He responds quickly to any query, either before or during your stay. I strongly recommend Marita's Casitas.

Marita's Casitas in Magical Todos Santos

Just got home from a dream vacation in Todos Santos. This is the very first time I have ever used VRBO and I must say it WILL NOT BE THE LAST. This wonderful casita was everything it said it would be, and more. The owner was available on email and phone to answer questions and help us in any way we needed. If you want to be totally immersed in the magical Mexican experience, instead of a fancy hotel/spa experience, Marita's Casitas is the place for you. Nothing fancy, but perfection nonetheless. The king sized bed was so comfy, thankfully, as a good bed is a must when staying away from home. Everything is provided in the kitchen if you want to fix meals for yourself. We stayed in the 2nd floor apt. The upper deck can be used by both floors, and was perfect for enjoying coffee in the morning and sunsets at night. The views go on forever! We stayed 15 days and the casita provided a wonderful home that made us feel a part of the neighborhood. There are many Americans in this place, and yet you are a part of a wider community of native peoples too. Everyone is friendly. You can find yourself surf fishing, walking beautiful beaches, and experiencing a sweet Mexican town nearby! What's not to like? Marita's Casitas helped make our vacation a dream-come-true.

Maritas Casitas was a perfect winter get a way. The space has a great view of the ocean and a short walk to the beach. The sunshine,walking the beaches,whale watching,sound of the ocean at night and the open air living was just what I needed for an uplift to the long winter. Alan and Bequia make you feel like old freinds and always have great suggestions about the area. La Paloma for cocont bars, La Bules for a fabulous massage, fabulous new Italian, yes, Italian restaurant for a great meal, sorry can't remember the name.

Well, we fell in love with Todos Santos, Marita's Casita, the whales, the birds, the blooming desert, the sunrise over the Lagunas, surf fishing on the beach at dawn, and the parade of Pongas each morning on their quest for the biggest Dorado or school of sierras. We were ready to stay forever, but haven't figured out the fine details yet. We are working on it and plan to return. Thank you Alan for being such a kind and welcoming host. See you next time.
